The HiFi Rose RD160 DAC takes every single detail of sound to a new level. The precise design and innovative technologies of HiFi ROSE, all concentrated on the RD160, will guide you into a world of purer and more genuine sound.
Stock available early November. We are happy to take pre-orders.
The RD160 offers a digital processing core module that precisely processes digital signals, an architecture to separate digital and analog signals and convert them transparently and precisely without distortion, a fully balanced design to maintain the highest signal purity, three power supply units to independently supply power to each circuit for clearer and more dynamic sound, and even a noise filter to vividly convey the finest details of the sound.
A Fusion of Cutting-Edge Aesthetics and Intuitiveness
The RD1160's appearance perfectly combines cutting-edge technology and aesthetics. The sleek metallic case combines luxury and durability, while the precisely machined edges and smooth surfaces intuitively convey the high quality of the product.
The hidden screen elegently integrated into the front panel, visualises the processing and status of digital signals though various display modes, providing a user experience that feels like handling a device of the future.
The elaborately designed knobs and buttons interact with the hidden screen in real time, providing users with a satisfying operating experience.
Rose DPC (Digital Processing Core) Module
The digital stage of the RD160 features the Rose DPC module, which is designed to ensure that all processing blocks maintain the highest level if signal accuracy and precision to implement precise sound.
This module syncronises digital signals input in various ways to the high-precision OCXO clock and aligns them into 125 signals. The module then applies clock syncronisation and locking processes when processing high resolution audio signals to minimise jitter, providing precise signal processing and natural, clear sound.
DAC module with Complete Separation of Digital and Analogue
The ROSE CIM architecture aims to maximise sound quality through complete isolation and modularity. The DAC module of the RD160 is a dual-chip solution, with the AK419EQ handling digital filtering and the initial delta-sigma conversion stage, while the AK449EX performs digital-to-analogue conversion.
By structurally completely separating the digital and analogue circuits in this way, the RD160 achieves complete isolation of noise generated during mutual processing, an extremely high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), and top-notch analogue characterisitcs.
Three Custom Designed Reference Linear Power Supplies
The reference linear power supply of the RD160, developed by ROSE, is designed to realise the best sound quality. Based on the ULTRA LOW NOISE power chipset, this power supply is designed to independently supply power to the digital input stage and the left and right analogue output stages. This effectively suppresses noise that may occur in each circuit, such as digital processing, clock, and analogue output, by minimising mutual interference and crosstalk between each stage.
In particular, it maintains signal integrity by stably supplying power according to the power requirements of each stage, and enhances the dynamic range and resolution of the DAC to vividly convey even the finest details of music.
It also reduces jitter to maximise the spatial characteristics of the sound field, providing a wider and more accurate sound stage and clearer images.
