IsoAcoustics OREA Series - Turntable / Equipment Isolators

The IsoAcoustics OREA Series Audio Equipment Isolators eliminate parasitic vibrations and provides greater sound clarity and focus. The OREA’s are ideal for electronic components including Amplifiers, DAC’s, CD Players, Speakers, and Turntables.

Made of machined stainless steel, these isolators have a low-profile design to minimise any increase in height.

Each OREA model is designed with a different weight capacity. They each have a coloured ring on the bottom isolator that denotes the model and weight capacity. The OREA series are packaged individually to allow greater flexibility when determining the number of units to use. IsoAcoustics recommend a minimum of 3 units under each component, depending on weight.

Greater Sound Clarity

The upper flange of the OREA’s are designed to provide a suction cup like effect and adhere to the underside of the component, while the lower flange adheres to the supporting surface. All the energy is managed within the core of the OREA’s, which are tuned to work within specific weight ranges. This results in greater sound clarity and a more open soundstage providing authentic, three-dimensional sound.

Works with or without feet

The crucial element is the integrated isolators which use IsoAcoustics patented isolation technology. The combination of the mass from the dense platform with the integrated isolators creates a high degree of isolation, allowing turntables and electronic components to perform at their best, revealing greater acoustic clarity and detail.

How do I choose which OREA model to use on my speaker or component?

We recommend choosing the OREA model based on the weight of the speaker or component that they will be supporting. It is common to use 3 or 4 OREA isolators for each component or speaker. The weight capacity per OREA isolator is as follows:

• OREA Graphite – 4 pounds (1.8 KG) per isolator
• OREA Bronze – 8 pounds (3.6 KG) per isolator
• OREA Indigo – 16 pounds (7.2 KG) per isolator
• OREA Bordeaux – 32 pounds (14.4 KG) per isolator

Which components benefit most from Isolation?

All audio equipment will benefit from isolation. The biggest gains can be achieved by isolating speakers and subwoofers. Isolating turntables, tube amplifiers, and CD players are good places to start because they are particularly sensitive to vibration. Isolating Preamp tubes is important as issues will be amplified later in the chain.

What is the difference the Aperta series and the Orea series?

The Aperta series is recommended if your speakers would benefit from tilt adjustment to better focus the tweeters to ear level. If your speakers are already at the correct height, then the OREA series is recommended as a low-profile isolation solution.
